Bane wasn't a victim of society. Not like Joker was.

And I don't want to offend but Bane wasn't implied to be mentally ill. Joker was implied to be so that makes him that much more relatable.

The point of the motivation behind the chaos. Bane was philosophical in his motivation. Joker's motivation for chaos was that society wronged him.

he had literal control of time and space, he could go back in time and undo the population growth, he could have made it so that a bunch of people were never born at all, he could reduce the fertility rate or create infinite supplies.
