Will they overturn it?

This is a very far-right court, I'm worried if they do, what will happen to women in the US and specifically the South.

I don't think so (hopefully). If they did, I bet that we'd be looking at a lot more of BK's 4500 complaints that the FBI received.

Not yet, but the general idea is that at least important protections are going to be overridden basically immediately so certain states can constitutionally ban it altogether.

Overriding Roe v Wade is kind of the entire reason conservatives put so much effort into stacking the Supreme Court.

It's a possibility. People keep underestimating the threat of Republicans and conservatives. If Republicans get enough power we will see the end of it and many other laws there to protect the rights of women and minorities for sure.

I voted no but I would not be surprised at all if they did.

The lesson here is that SCOTUS decisions are never "settled law".

This is what I see as most likely- lots of barriers, denying access, etc. that the SC upholds as "states rights".

Republican politicians don't actually want Roe v. Wade overturned. It's too valuable of a carrot to dangle in front of their base, and their base is too stupid to realize they're being taken advantage of.

It's all a stealth plan to boost Greyhound stock, and keep Amtrak going without having to increase the subsidy.

Eh, all they have to do is fearmonger and say "Democrats are going to bring RvW back! They're going to kill babies!".

They probably will.

Alternatively I can see Roberts upholding so he can distract the left while continuing to destroy voting rights.

That's not as engaging a message, though. "Democrats are killing babies right now, and we need to stop them" gets more attention than "Democrats will kill babies if we let them, so let's keep not letting them."
