Seeking out the assassin, following threads in shady diners and bars and uncovering a corruption that goes right to the heart of government. Even his fights with Jango have a visceral, cinematic quality that the rest of the film lacks. Anakin feels entirely like an afterthought and the movie would be far better if his scenes were cut. I can honestly suspend my disbelief for just about everything else in Star Wars but the way that romance between Anakin and Padm is just so out there.
