I realize more and more with age, how near everything is set up with race in mind.

Only a fool living on this earth would think its meaningless.

You'll never see a black or white man leading China.

The whole concept of race identity disturbs me. I disagree with it.

Perfect example: a lot of black people in America have attached themselves to the N-word, whatever the reason for doing so may be, but yet its absolutely 100% still considered arguably worst slur. The term is extremely common parlance in many black American cultures. Same with Ebonics. Im just not sure thats healthy, man.

we understand racism is bad and that we're all the same race. fine. can we get people honest enough to be transparent in these conversations? if not, it's not worth anybody's time.

how did this social construct come to be? who enabled it and why did they? now that we've had time to reflect and plenty history to draw reference from, should something be done about this ethnic based social hierarchy? if so, what all does that entail?

there is a whole timeline full of cause and effect that should be looked at with nuance, but we already know that people get defensive and the conversation deteriorates.

Who knows. A hundred years ago would someone think that a (half) black man would be president? Things change. Ethnicities will continue to mix as the world population increases and the world gets smaller.

Race is meaningless in its own right (it isn't even coherent, we've just kind of slapped arbitrary labels on people that don't hold up to much scrutiny) but unfortunately we've made it a pretty big societal issue for the past few centuries so in that regard it's rather important
