Honestly, I could be better. But I think things are on the up and up. But I could be better.
I've had a very stressful few weeks...and I wasn't supposed to have this weekend off at my one job.
....but it happened, I am not sure if I was let go or not...but I do have a fallback. 100%

My game plan for tomorrow, or later on today, is to do something I haven't been able to do in a while.
Which is to get out and go to The Track, yes Horse Racing. But it's more about the experience than anything.....and I need that.

And ya, this coarse isn't seedy, and I completely know my way around it.
The guys I wound up hanging with worked with Todd Pletcher, which is funny because my former Supervisor looks after the stands directly where I was, and we were not supposed to be there. I basically introduced them. We didn't get kicked out at all.

I do not have the gambling gene at all, but I can, once I get back into it, read a form.
Past performance, age, weight, length of the race, and Jokey. All that.

But really it's about having fun.

At this point, when I say Peer-Pressure, it's an inside joke...I guess the emphasis is on peer. It's kinda my Genxie way of pushing back on the on the term.

But you are still being peer pressured...if you can run the game.

~It was an okay Birthday, not brilliant, but all things considered I can't complain.

It was so nice to get back to the track....I'll probably be back tomorrow.

I've been hosting the show throughout all covid shit, so it's nice to actually be able to enjoy it.

Heh my bad, it's a race track where The Beatles played some of their last concerts for the last leg of their US tour lol I didn't know this until way later though.. I'd always pass by there with my buddies (a gang of the 4 of us all with our guitars just loitering wherever and playing tunes) on the way to our drummers house and I'd see the stables where they kept the horses

Smelled like ass lol but they were majestic all the same

Is that today's paper? Or is that literature you get at the track? Lol

Hehe, horse and cow poop can smell great and horrible at the same time.
I say that also, about the looks of NYC....it's a total ying-yang.
....Also, hehe, at you drummers friend stuck at home.
As much as drums don't travel, try moving a Piano around!!

I did get to cash in one ticket, but I tipped most of it back to the teller.
I was in a very, pay it forward mood....it's been so long since we all could get out.
Anyone who actually shows up to work nowadays deserves that respect.

True story, I went up to a guy, who is in shit spot, and asked a very basic question....I knew the answer, literally, where are the bathrooms...he told me, but I tipped him, only a fiver for the answer. I expressed that I've done that job, at that spot and I could tell he appreciated it. His supervisor walked up on the scene, which was happenstance as it was, and she thanked me.

Side note and true, I once carved a G Clef and the first notes of the Call to Post in the little box that is there...but I think it's been painting over.
I would have looked harder for it, but the supervisor was there, and we were good vibing...and it's been a long time, so I'd imagine the new paint as filled that all in.

This is very blogfaqsie at this point....but true.

I may die alone and in a gutter, but I will be damned if I don't do my best to have some good moments here and there.

It actually was a nice way to spend the weekend...if even, I really wasn't supposed to have the time off. Which is still a question mark. But I can fill those hours anywhere, and particularly at the track. I'm still figuring that out.

The Call to Post is really only a few notes.
But I figured them out, today...yesterday, I did re-carve a G Clef in that box, no one was looking.. I used a quarter to do it.
I did not have the time to make the actual sheet music version, but I assure you that once happened.

I am going to bump this topic, maybe tomorrow, and tag you with something that is comedy-related.
I'm just spent and don't have the energy at the moment.

Past couple of days have been rough for me tbh, I got a phone call from someone I dont really wanna try and talk to like at 2 in the morning

Called in the morning to no avail and the response of no need to text back and no call back just torturously has me wondering.. in a bad way, I cannot like commit to calling back this person and really would like to have never gotten that call >_>

been real blegh over it, mostly because I did kinda go out on a date recently and figured I didnt need a reminder.. kinda let the thing simmer down as a result

I'm complete with you.... my stress hormones have been through the roof, and I think you may remember my wellness check situation...maybe. That was totally fucked.
But on top of that I got let go from my service bar position this weekend...for shitty reasons.
