Hehehehe, Im pretty sure I see what you did there.

Come on, spill it. I know you want to. Here, Ill even help: Kevin Smith lied.
Him going the direction he wanted to go and it not matching the direction of certain YouTube's doesn't mean he lied.

He didn't lie.

No, he literally did, more than once if were being strict about the quotes.

Btw, I like that writers go in different directions. It can make old stories more interesting. Just dont lie, especially not now with the internet.

That's like saying to be excited for a Superman movie you have to be over 80.

Well Superman has been relevant in pop culture for a big chunk of those 80 years if not all. Most Americans could name more different actors for Superman than presidents. Most of He man's popularity comes from the 80's show.

I searched for a bit for proof on "Kevin Smith's lies" and got a runaround to a bunch of whining about his career and connection with Harvey Weinstein of all things.

So enough of that.

from what i know about it, it's a continuation of the original series right?

is the story simple enough that i can just go into the netflix one and understand what's happening or is it necessary to watch

i'll probably go back and get to the original eventually but the netflix animation looks really good so i just kinda want to go into it

I have yet to see proof of these lies from a none ASJW/comicgate source. Meanwhile I have an official release from november 2019 that pretty much matches the show we have.

So yeah I believe these so called lies are attempts by ASJWs to turn normal people agianst the show before they watch it.

Thr internet is on my side as I have done the research.

Okay yes the show shouldn't have been promoted as a continuation of the Filmation show

Ill say this. He does a podcast called Fatman Beyond which I quite enjoy. And he did outright say that Teela was in no way the main character. Ive not watched the show to confirm whether thats true or not but he did say it

It was ok. Teela and He-Man voices were miscast. They sounded like Venture Bros. parodies of these characters.

Poor He-Man got the shaft in his own show. Favorite part was that guy who drank the nanomachine juice and had a shocked reaction until he saw he had grown a buzz saw arm, then he was all "hey that's pretty cool".

On the one hand, I don't care at all about the He-Man franchise.

On the other, its seems pretty lame if they dump the main character from his own show.

Remember this is one half of a season that's been released. Adam could easily be prominently featured in the rest of it.

Not that I especially care. I think it's fine if the "solve everything" function of the show were eliminated. Makes it more interesting to watch.
