And it's not the kind you think it is.

My issue is that whatever phase I'm going through, I always ask myself "How committed am I to this phase? Is it temparary? How long will it last?"

For example, if I am going to get a tattoo, is it for the spur of the moment? Am I gonna have the same belief as I do in the future of when getting this tattoo? Just being unsure makes me not want to get it.

Buddhism teaches on day one that ALL is temporary and subject to change/end and so naturally... suffering is caused by attaching.

In the world in which things are constantly changing, it's your grasping at those things that causes you pain.

Imagine trying to catch a butterfly with tweezers. This is how most people live. Stop grasping and just allow things to be.
