Honestly can't take CM Punk seriously ever again after his embarrassing displays in UFC. He was honestly ruined for me as a wrestler after that.

If I were AEW, I'd want two more big names on my roster, preferably names in their 30s, before I'd be brave enough to attempt Monday Night Dynamite.

They have the benefit of seeing what happened to TNA at least. TNA was pretty hot and they tried to go up against Raw and got destroyed.

In terms of the demographic WWE wants to target, they're already losing. They had to move the timeslot of one of their shows to a completely different day.

I think Dynamite will be beating Raw in terms of weekly rating within a year. At that point they should try their luck on Mondays.

That's a bold statement. I feel like people underestimate just how big and powerful WWE is when they feel like they need to flex.

You are forgetting that the WWE no longer has the pulling power of Stone Cold or The Rock like the Monday Night Wars had nor Cena and Batista that helped destroy TNA iMPACT.

No but if they book it right (LOL) they could elevate Roman even higher. But since he's the biggest full time star they have anyway he's already on Smackdown, which AEW have no chance of beating in the ratings.

AEW won't win long term with WWE castoffs. Like it or not that's how the general public will see former WWE guys at the top of AEW. TNA tried that too and it didn't work, it got good internet buzz but it never formed into anything that mattered.

TNA got Kurt Angle when he was still worth a damn and incredibly popular. That's bigger than Bryan or Punk now in comparison and it didn't help them. You can put some blame on Hogan and Bischoff but really the blame falls on Dixie Carter for being a money mark and letting these guys who knew the game fleece her for money then skip town.

Arguable, but regardless AEW is in a much better position than TNA ever was, and WWE is also in its weakest position in terms of viewers ever.

That's true, I've just seen this story before when people thought WWE was ripe for the pickings and they always find a way to step up and fend off possible competitors so it's hard for me to buy into AEW being a credible threat that stands the test of time.

Edit: Overall I'm just really disillusioned with wrestling in general. I don't like the new way of being ironic and not even bothering to try to suspend disbelief. Like I know it's "fake" but at least try to make me believe. AEW is really guilty of this as are a lot of indies. WWE is just kinda boring as none of the current top guys really interest me other than Bobby Lashley and their mid card is a mess as is the women's divisions.

That was also a different era, WWE was stilla hot commodity, not the weekly mess hemorrhaging viewers that it is now.

Going to Full Gear in St Louis in November. Hope they've both debuted by then.

Also, AEW isn't allowed to air on Monday nights. Part of their deal with Jacksonville Jaguars that Tony's dad owns to not compete against MNF.

Getting Bryan is awesome. Getting punk... eh. When Mark Henry left to do the Arnold Strongman Classic, he won. When The Rock went to conquer Hollywood, he did. When Brock left to play football and fight in the UFC he made a practice team for NFL and won the belt at UFC. When Punk left to fight he got embarrassed.
