Ive seen this reason being used multiple times on CE. I dont get it. That is no way to judge character objectively. Imagine if some of the worst scum in Earths history was judged by the same low standards. Come on CE. Do better.

You can't judge them solely on how they treat you, but you can accept some of their terrible treatment of others if they treat you well.

For example, I have a friend that used to constantly cheat on his girlfriends while were were HS/College aged. He always treated me with respect though, so why should that behavior change my view of him. "He treats women like shit, but he's cool to me".

Yes, if the person is being mean to only you and nice to others then the issue most likely is you.

Im not down for defending waiters who fuck up. All of a sudden this is a big factor to your character that someone literally fucked up their job to serve you. But then again thats literally what tipping is for: waiters that did a good job and didnt fuck up, no need to actually be mean to them.
