I have depressive episodes and hypo manic episodes all the time. I take zyprexa and prozac currently.

I dunno but I've had manic episodes before and those are not fun, I wish you the best. Probably best to talk with your psychiatrist about about it., but I did well with Abilify, apparently it has the least side effects and I felt like my normal self after a couple of months.

I don't have manic episodes, just hypomania and it's usually pretty fun

Ah just looked it up, apparently hypomania is a milder version of mania, hypomania can last a few days whereas mania can last over a week. I can see why that would be fun, I told my therapist if I would get my mania in short bursts it would be great but the problem is when it comes it completely overtakes me and doesnt stop, there moments of euphoria sure but mostly just chaotic behavior.

Those are weird meds to be on. I'm assuming you're bipolar spectrum? Why prozac? And zyprexa is a strange antipsychotic to be on unless you've tried abilify.

Lamictal is good. Lamictal, Lithium, and Lurasidone are FDA approved for bipolar depression. I would much rather be on lamictal only over the zyprexa/prozac combo tbqh.

Prozac really isn't for people with mania

I didnt like lamotragine but I dont really like any psych meds except for benzos and lyrica which are both kinda recreational.

And yes hypomania is quite fun but usually it is accompanied by depression
