First of all your AC should under no circumstances be leaking or dripping anything. Call a repairman.

However, most likely there's mold or mildew in your HVAC and it's dripping out some of the nastiness through condensation and a clogged drain.

Is this the first time the A/C has been turned on in a while? Sometimes the heater/AC smells weird for about a minute after being turned on for the first time in a while. If this isn't the situation I would be very concerned.
