This furnance questline has the worst pacing. I wish I knew how to start the other like 6 quests still floating around on the reputation board.

By the way is there a reward after you've given Chouji 36 marrows because he literally just fucking left and I didn't even get a cabbage out of it.

No idea he did that to me. There may be another quest with him possibly after the furnace questline since he's involved, but who knows.

Billets don't really exist in my game, last time I got one was in December. Probably they deleted the code in my game during one of the updates

Does completing Tatara make the electricity go away or nah? That's all I cared about.

2nd island big quest won't make balethunder go away, if that's what you mean...then again the quest didn't have a clear conclusion yet.
What you can do is upgrade your electrograna, coz iirc there are upgrades increasing its duration and its count of hazard absorption.

And just an advice, but...you'll likely be seeing sheer cold / balethunder / other anti-shield effects a lot from now on. Especially in Spiral Abyss, because 2.1 has a 5* limited healer
Get a healer. Shield meta is getting a kick in the butt coz it's harmful to the game long-term.

Assuming you mean the Balethunder then yes it goes away completely as far as I can tell. From the furnace area anyway. Not sure if it's around other places, but the whole area that was encased in the barrier becomes safe to travel.

For Abyss I usually have Jean on one team, and Diona/Bennett on the other, and some kind of shielder on both. They have been perfectly adequate for all the abyss rounds so far, but will have to see how shitty the balethunder will be since it seems much stronger than sheer cold.

The abyss bonuses next patch will probably just be something like buffs while at full health (something that should just be a regular part of the game if they want us to actually use dead weight over-healers like Barb and Qiqi)

I have zero reason to go back to the furnace after the quest anyways

...i checked leaks:

F9: A constantly growing electro damage field (i guess like the amplifier challenge event. Probably good idea to have a healer or gravity puller)

F10: Leader and attendants (again amplifier. Very cancerous coz they buff defenses and heal the leader, gravity pulling probably recommended)

F11: Defeating enemies hits all party members with a damage over time effect (corrosion) every second for 10 seconds. Active characters can die, inactive characters cant drop below 15% hp.
Corrosion stacks.
Second group will face geovishap + pyro flower + big pyro slime.

F12: no disorder.
First group will face Maguu Kenki, Second group will face mecha-oceanid (PMA).

I would say it depends on what sword you are replacing the black sword with. If you have a crit damage boosting sword to give her, the second one is better. But if you're planning to stick with the black sword, the first one is better.

Crit DMG easy.

Cryo gets so many crit rate bonuses from set + resonance that it's super easy to go over 100%

Welp, I somehow screwed myself over.
No chest in chimney (I remember collecting), no chest on bridge on a cliff (I see an electro seelie sitting in its node), no chest on the peak house rooftop.

EDIT: Oh, now I get what was wrong. It's not the top part inside the chimney, there's a broken wall in the middle that has the key

If I could pull a fucking crit damage headpiece I'd have 70% crit rate and 240% crit damage

Just need 10 more blue handguards and I'll be 10/6/8.
From there the final things to do would be
a) 10/8/10-ing her
b) redoing some artifacts to improve crit balance, critdmg is too low.

After that I can focus on Sayu and Kokomi

BTW I noticed that Electro Traveler's scaling on her talents is really, really nuts at higher levels. And also her energy gen multiplier goes up as well, which is surprising. I bet she's amazing at C6 with high talents.

The traveler complains about how much time it's taking later in the quest lol.

Later on Xavier is like "we gotta do one more test" and one of the dialogue options is basically "you gotta be fucking shitting me"

For you mobile players, I just picked up the razer Kishi. I had an Amazon gift card and since they allowed cross format progress I have been playing mobile.

my bigger hands make it almost impossible to enjoy and I really dont care for touch screen games, especially action RPGs.

man if you got the money its definitely a worth investment if you play a lot on your phone. It makes it such a much more enjoyable experience.

i turn everything to low and turn on 60fps and it runs smooth for me. I dont need max settings on my phone, game looks fine to me on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

To finish off the topic, which character do you have that you have been most surprised at how good they are?

For me, it's probably Kazuha (I was legit pissed to get him, but in retrospect he might by my all-time favorite character).

But a close second is Jean, who is rather unexpectedly a very useful character to have in Spiral Abyss and makes those Lecters and whatnot SO MUCH EASIER

Definitely Xiao. Dude kills Fatui Skirmishers with their shield up faster than it takes me to swap to a counter element to break the shield.
