Bruh, Criminal Minds. Those poor LEOs having to swing their head around the room as a half dozen people all take turns explaining something. And Reed constantly explaining to a team of serial killer experts about famous serial killers.

Similarly, if they're caught by something (usually a rope) where they come to an instant halt after a long fall.

Two people arguing and letting each other finish long complex sentences.

IRL people are constantly interrupting each other in arguments unless it's in a formal debate setting.

It's like when someone has a gun pointed and ready to kill the hero but for some reason lets them talk for 5 minutes instead of just pulling the trigger.

The one that will always grind my gears to a halt is when you have a breakout hit of a movie in which (among other plotlines) Boy ends up getting Girl and implicitly lives happily ever after; and then when the inevitable sequel gets made and they can't figure out what to do with Girl now that Boy has already got her, they kill her off in the opening act so Boy can be all sad and / or go all loose-cannon over it.

Conversations that get eavesdropped upon at just the right moment for the listener to wildly misconstrue what the speaker was actually saying, drama and hurt feelings ensue.

Competent or intelligent characters suddenly becoming a braindead klutz purely so the plot can advance. Lookin at you, Officer Lewis from RoboCop.

Really specific and not exactly a trope, but speaking line patterns that go "A B, C. A B." Like "That'll do, pig. That'll do." Don't know why that rubs me so wrong but it sounds so fucking patronizing and stupid.

Not just movies but media in general, more storytelling id say

A says something unbelieveable after being prompted by B saying "I trust you"

B sees it as unbelieveable, and says something to the effect of "wElL If yOu dIdNt wAnT To tElL Me tHe tRuTh, ThEn yOu sHoUlD HaVe jUsT SaId sO"

Smart characters that do a bunch of out of character dumb shit solely to progress the story because the writers are bad

Or they broke up between movies over something petty after jumping through flaming hoops suspended over a pool infested with sharks just to get together.

Its a kids movie so obviously it has to have fart and poop jokes.

-Couple/friends have a fight 3/4 through the movie and we have to have the montage of them looking sad and depressed. Then they reconcile during the climax.
-Never saying "Hello/goodbye" when talking on the phone.
-Characters quiping all the time even during serious scenes.
