Middle hope 07/15/21 8:45:34 AM #13:	Compared to most rifles, a magnum handgun isnt going to be much more effective. Many rifles give you more range and effectiveness than even the most kitted out hunting handguns. And if you are going to kit your magnum out with a super extended, ported barrel and scope, you may as well just go with a rifle at that point. The best IRL guns that i would compare to a magnum pistol are the quote Brush Guns unquote. Many of those lever actions use ammo that have similar performance to magnum pistol rounds (and in many cases, you can get a lever gun in the exact same caliber). But get the added bonus of a higher capacity and the longer barrel. At the end of the day, its just an in game thing that is punched up for some wow factor and in game balance.
