Why replace it at all? If Multi-billion dollar companies paid their fair share of taxes, I would have no problem with them spending their stupid money on luxury spacecraft. Pro-capitalists seem to have a problem with appropriated taxation however.

There are very lenient & forgiving programs for struggling families in the USA. The individual is expected more to be able to forge their own way, as far as I understand it. As far as the really broken, chronically homeless..... Im not sure throwing money & providing housing does the trick quite right. They (the government) keeps trying stuff like that. It doesnt work.

Honestly, like, these guys you see camping on the sidewalk with a shopping cart are guilty of theft & loitering & theyre I bet easily demonstrably a risk to themselves (if not others as well). So............

What do you think the fix is? I dont think it has anything to do with Bezos money.

If anything, Id hold the locals accountable for abiding the chronically homeless.

The world we live in, you know, 1960 was only 60 years ago. The internet. Smart phones. This stuff is new. We dont live in a perfect world. People have problems that they are still trying to work out. You cant expect the government to come and turn everything into a utopia over night for people with these really serious personal problems, and also expect to be given 100% freedom & privacy. That being said, there really arent any good programs Im aware of with a selection process that makes sense to get people rehabilitated who wish to be and can be rehabilitated. That needs work.

The guy whos been living on the street for 20 years is another story altogether

This. I think it's a humiliation and submissive fetish gone insane. They're the bad kind of sexual deviants where they want to push their fetish onto everyone. Right wingers believe in their fucked up hierarchies and think the rich are just an objectively better breed of human and the rest of us should serve them and be happy to do so.

You don't have to be tankie to see the huge flaws in capitalism and see how certain folks just love simping for the rich. You can't even say you're fine with capitalism, but want some regulations where things are more fair to everyone without being called a commie.

My favorite tho was taking stock market returns from the absolute bottom of the dip last March to the peak and say "look at these crazy returns for the rich!!!"

I dont really see a problem. Homelessness and evictions during pandemics are things that the government needs to fix by voting on them and getting laws changed. Get more Democrats in the office and once we get past the dumb 50/50 brick wall in the senate, things will get done at a faster rate

TC, you must understand that to Capitalist, they see no problem with that screen capture. It's literally a non-issue. To them, every homeless person is homeless because of their own faults and failures and not due to any other extenuating circumstance.

No jobs where you live? Just move... with the money and resources that you don't have. Can't make enough at a job? Go to college... with the money and resources that you don't have. Oh, you're sick and you went bankrupt trying to pay for medications and treatments? Well, guess you better get health insurance with the.... money and resources you don't have. Housing is to expensive? You should probably move several states over where the housing is cheaper. It's probably cheaper because there are even less jobs and less economic opportunity, but hey, go ahead and move a few states over on a maybe and see what happens!

They'll make it sound like it's so easy for a homeless person to walk in to any place hiring and get a job, despite the fact that they more than likely don't have a government issued ID, may not even know their SSN, and most likely don't have an address to put down on their application, hence the whole homeless thing.

But it's all their fault TC. It's their fault that they were born into a life that they didn't ask for, to parents with no money, or in a poor neighborhood with extremely limited economic mobility, in a city on the verge of collapse. If only they scrubbed the floors of the McDonalds a little harder when they were 16, they probably would have been the next Bezos.
