Like if their idea of typing is just pecking keys with their index fingers only.

I look extra intelligent taking deliberate strokes instead of just flapping meat fingers everywhere and staring blankly into the screen

It's not even about feeling superior, it's about someone not having a baseline skill for modern society.

Not really.

But I do unconsciously judge people when they suggest that the keyboard should go ABCDEF instead of QWERTY, knowing full well that the keyboard was designed in such a way that more commonly used letters were spaced out and prevented the mallets on an old fashioned typewriter from tangling, and knowing that would force those of us who learned how to type without looking to have to re-learn everything.

The QWERTY being used to stop typewriters from jamming thing is actually a myth.

Fine but a different layout would still unnecessarily force us to re-learn how to type by touch.

Nah. I will judge them if they think "u" is a valid replacement for "you" or similarly terrible spelling/grammar choices.

Otherwise I'll assume they grew up poor / nonamerican. Like, imagine being Russian with this keyboard your whole life: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:KB_Russian.svg

and then trying to type on an english keyboard, lmao

If they can't spell (know the difference between their/they're/there and to/two/too, that sort of thing), it does annoy me, especially when debating. How does one expect to be taken seriously, when they didn't pay attention in school and learn basic spelling?

This is what they said about 'uneducated' people when creating policy that disparages people, in my case it's absolutely pure laziness and complacency. My fingers need dexterity to play guitar and play cool licks and with practice anything is possible..

..But I'll be damned if I spend a minute more with technology trying to appease some weird part of me that wants to present myself as intelligent at this point in my life

I never had concerns of those, life isn't intelligence, it's perspective :v
