She was taken aback by the comments and said "I'm always recording myself to document my journey and it was a nice day out, so i figured i would be out jumping rope rather than staying inside. I think "fat shaming" is grossly overblown, that being severely overweight is almost always a result of poor personal choices/discipline (some cases the person has a disability or something and it's not their fault), and that people that choose to be fat should feel ashamed and have social pressure to get in shape.
All that being said, shaming a fat person for exercising is incredibly fucking stupid and counter-productive, fuck whoever does that. Good for her, trying to get in shape! Also yeah, I get self-conscious exercising in public. Mostly stick to doing what I can at home, once I have a house I'm building my own home gym. ... Copied to Clipboard!
