I feel hes become either disenchanted and/or essentially completed his portfolio. Maybe just gotten old! Haha. His current output reminds me a lot of Tarantino lol who keeps saying hes done, this that and that the other. Which would be fine by me. Forcing someone to create these magical, painstaking works of art would be wrong. It's one of the most famous war movies ever made! And it's not Miyazaki. Takahata directed that one. Only Yesterday, though, really is underrated. FortuneCookie 07/12/21 1:00:21 PM #10:	Porco Rosso was better than it had any right to be. I think it's easy to take one look at the character and write the movie off, but it has a lot of depth. It feels like a tribute to 1940s film noir; though its setting is a bit earlier. I also appreciated the nods to silent animation and to the hyperbolic movie posters of the mid 20th century.
