Whatever spare cash I have I throw in a fireproof safe. Been doing it for about 15 years and don't know how much is there.

You never know when you might have to get up and run.

LMAO. Should've turned that green shit into gold and silver, would've tripled the value.

As it stands, its worth exactly the same amount it was 15 years ago

what type of scenario has happened in the modern world in the last 15-30 years that you would consider a good example of why someone should do this?

You're better off investing that or putting it in a savings account. That shit won't grow in value just sitting in a safe while inflation sets in.

I have a savings account. This is "just in case" money.

If shit goes down I can just grab it and drive.

Internet never fails being the internet.

I throw some cash around the house or in areas for just in case days, or to bring on vacations or something.

LOL at people letting their cash literally lose value every day and thinking they're smart for it

Somebody tell Warren Buffett he's been doing it wrong, and should keep his money in a fireproof safe.

I keep money on me or at home, but that's more this or that money, so idk if it's exactly an emergency fund.

You guys shouldnt be answering weird questions like this.

Maybe Im overthinking it but a lot of questions asked here like this one seem weirdly specific to me as if theyre fishing for information

Next think you know theyll start making threads about your mothers maiden name, the street you grew up on, and your first pets name lol
