Coming from someone who recently lost their early-00 account, neither really matters.

At one time high karma accounts went for hundreds of dollars on ebay. Then again LUE access accounts went for thousands.

You could also have an account from 2012 with shit loads of karma, and it wouldn't mean much.

They have to match up to be good. A 20 y/o account should have at least 15 years of karma.

Karma and I only say this because a bunch of trolls like to hide behind old accounts here. I've heard some people accuse them of being bought accounts, but I never knew if there was any truth behind that.

Whats funny is I have an active 2006 account with 2000 karma, while this one was made in 2012 and already has 3000 lol

I did not know you could sell your gfaqs account. I closed my 2004 account last year..

none of it matters my account is 15 years old yet my karma isnt even 1000 because i didnt come here for 11 years so what good does it do

Not really. If I see someone tilting real hard in a direction that doesn't seem sincere, checking the account and seeing that it's only a month old is a good indication that talking to them is a waste of time.
