People tend to get more religious as they get older. Millennials and z aren't there yet but gen x is starting to come close.

It's a trend that may change in the future though. I don't think the average religiousness of gen z will go up but it might go down slower than it's going down now.

That's mostly because humans will always want whats best for them. Even most atheists will agree a deep dark void after death is not the preferable choice.
Also probably a factor as to why Gen Z's depression rate is sky high
