Are you Real-ID compliant?



I noticed some states afford their citizens the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico on a Real-ID compliant identification card, while some can be Real-ID compliant and not allow this functionality. What is your status, and are you allowed to use your state ID for travel to Mexico and Canada?

The one I had in Ohio didn't allow for it, while the one in Washington state does.

I have a Real-ID but my understanding is that it's only for domestic travel, Mexico and Canada travel would still require a passport

But maybe I'm wrong, since I have a Real-ID and passport I haven't paid close attention to it

My Enhanced Michigan ID is Real-ID compliant.
