Yeah, I've definitely met women in my age range that considered playing games to be immature. But I've also met women that get just as excited about new games as I do. So screw those judgemental ones lol.

Depends on how you measure it. Console/PC gaming is still primarily men, but mobile gaming is about 50/50, and the number of people who play mobile games far outclasses the number of console gamers. So if you use the broadest possible definition, it comes out to around 50/50, but that doesn't paint an accurate picture if what you're actually talking about is console or PC gaming specifically.

Maturity is not gatekept by you but those who determine if you are a man or a child.

I'm 36. I honestly didn't feel "grown up" and that I "had my shit together" until two years ago or so. Maybe there's something to it.

Maturity is not gatekept by you but those who determine if you are a man or a child.

the baseline for maturity (IMO) is if you can take care of yourself. If youre a normal functioning member of society and you have your mom/dad making you lunch and dinner and doing laundry you probably havent hit that baseline of adult maturity.

video games isnt a measure of maturity and if these women are using it as such, like I said, if theyre social media craved then thats worse (IMO) than some guy playing video games in his spare time.

NOW if some guy is just sitting home playing games all day while being waited on because hes incapable of self preservation, thats immature as fuck.

I just don't believe in hypocrisy. Don't call a hobby immature if you waste time doing different non productive stuff. Let people enjoy what they want. Videogames shouldn't be a red flag taken on its own anyway.

Actually gaming is more productive then social media, it improves hand eye coordination, reaction time, teaches patience if it is a puzzle game, and encourages team work if it has coop or MP that pushes more for team cohesion.

Social media only seems to divide people and create trouble for people.
