g0ldie 07/06/21 6:34:19 AM #4:	I watched it on Hulu and it showed a little piece afterwards about what the creators wanted with the episode (idk if it also showed on TV). anyway, they wanted Morty to break someone else's heart this time around, yet still feel the guilt from it, and have Beth portrayed more as a caring mother, since that generally isn't her thing. and that's why the episode was pretty serious at parts, since using humor to ease the tension would have lessened the overall impact, or something like that. --- https://imgur.com/mApEnf3 <cite>g0ldie posted [p:955791921] in This weeks... He was designed to be the straight man of the series, and Ricks moral compass, but hes nothing like that anymore.
