Where I'm at in the PNW is pretty much devoid of natural disasters apart from the potential for a freak tsunami event. I can also see a volcano but it's far enough away and given the wind direction I think I'd be fine if it decided to self destruct.

Does your area deal with natural disasters? If so, which ones?

No really. There was a hurricane a few years ago but it barely did anything to philly. Tornados are possible but those are more western pa.

Thankfully no. Though it is fairy barren and the weather is often garbage, I've never even contemplated natural disasters. And our house is at a high elevation, so only super localized flooding would affect us.

Yeah, when I lived in Ohio I did manage to see some tornadic weather on a few occasions, once involved two twisters and another involved seeing the funnel come down but not making a ground connection until it passed.

Lot of tornadoes here, last year one tore through my back yard, ripped up an 80 foot tall oak tree and it missed my house by like 15 feet.

Lucky. If I check Google maps around where I used to live, satellite view - you can see the scars running through dense forest from where tornadoes came down. Maybe give it a shot and see if you find anything interesting around you.

Considering that a natural disaster is going to pass by too close for comfort for the remainder of this very day, I'd say without hesitation that I'm in the Danger Zone.
