Double dragon neon was the right direction.

the biggest problem with double dragon 4 is that saves erase themselves frequently and randomly. which is a giant pain in the ass with like 20 unlockable characters.

yeah it's pretty frustrating. if not for that, i'd love DD4.

btw im only speaking for the steam version. i have it on android as well but haven't put in much time, and i haven't heard about any other platforms deleting saves.
