I recently got back into watching anime/reading manga and taht's one of the few that I've watched over the last few weeks and I p much enjoyed it for the most part. A few dumb things that come along with the kind of anime it is but it wasn't as cringy as it could've been

Is it generally viewed as a good anime? Also I heard the manga is better?

Exceedingly edgy for the sake of being edgy. Anime has poor pacing, manga is marginally better.

Starts out as good, completely falls apart in the second half

they kill off nearly the entire cast for no literary purpose other than to kill everyone off

It just didnt do it for me.

Had some cool moments, but it felt like way too much going on for a 26 ep series.

Lol no. Ending maybe. Tbh neither are that good but at least the anime cut back on the edge. Like there's literally a scene in the manga where a dead bad guy's (Who was honestly one of the few that might be considered the least evil) wife and daughter are raped to death by his fellow teammates on his fucking grave
