With the advent of 3d printing and having molding/casting for a hundred years blacksmithing is dead outside of niche and hobby. I got out of it but we did everything. Mostly I did finishing, but in the field we all did construction as well, I did a bit of welding, and I was also IT. No one else had any grasp of computers, so I had to do the 3d modeling work for the CNC on fancy stuff. That's how we did the bear head for the bar I did the finish on it, and the bartop sitting below. Was a bit nerve wracking, we only had the one shot.
