I think it was around the time the first L4D came out(or was it 28 Days later?). Anyway, I made a topic discussing these things and I kept calling these type of infected monsters "zombies" and one person got real triggered by it. He rudely and aggressively told me they are not zombies, they are called "the infected". I asked why and what does it matter?

He went on a rant saying zombies means they are dead and they came back to life as a reanimated corpse. The infected are not dead, they are just infected with a virus that made them that way.

I told him he was right but the infected are a sub genre of zombies and everyone knows what I mean so need for any outrage. There's no need to be so literal or technical about it. He burst into flames and told me how stupid I was for not knowing the difference from the get go. I was more awed at why he was so oppressive about this than anything else. Thankfully no one these days give a shit if I call infected monsters "zombies"..... right?

I don't care what they are called, but I dislike infected people, and fast zombies. I like EC comic style zombies best.
