Ive never played a Yakuza game. But I kept seeing this one recommended and it was actually the Girlfriend Reviews of this game they convinced me to get it. It happened to be on sales a few weeks ago and now Im giving it a try.

I didnt realise it was a kind of beat-em-up, but I dig it. The story is really interesting - very plot heavy at the start though. Takes a while to get into a lot of beating dudes up.

Im currently asking homeless guys about Tachibana Real Estate. So far pool is my favourite mini game. I do love the disco though. Its such a great mix of serious drama and classic Japanese wackiness.

Yakuza quickly became one of my favorite series ever after starting with Yakuza 0 back in late 2019 I think. I'm currently on Yakuza 5. I pretty much played them all consecutively (whenever they were released on Steam that is) and I've finally slowed down after putting several hours in Y5. Haven't played it for longer than 30 minutes in about a month now.

I'm about halfway through kiwami 2 after playing 0 in march and Kiwami in May. 0 was the first game in a long time I put 100+ hours into.

Great series, I wish I had gotten into it sooner.

Back to Kiryu. The ending of Goros last chapter was pretty intense. loved the slow buildup and all that though.

also - I didnt realise there were batting cages. I kept reading it as battling and had no idea what it was going to be so I just ignored it. Its hard as hell though.

Don't make my mistake and become so engrossed in the main story that you miss out on the side quests lol

I do love the side quests. My faves so far are the bag phone, the kid lining up for the new game and crossing the bridge with the jacket man.

Well it is a Yakuza spin-off game made by the developers of Yakuza. It's not surprising that it's similar to them.

The breaker style is the true OPness

Towards the end of the game after I had maxed it out, I was dropping bosses to 0 fast AF and waiting for the game to get through the QTE cutscenes of the fight before I could finish them off and win.
