I tried to wake my phone last night so I could play solitaire before bed, but the battery was completely drained. I charged it to 80% earlier in the day after exercising, so I was really surprised. I plugged it in, and when it started, I loaded up the solitaire app, but then it overheated in like 2 minutes, so I put it down and went to sleep. I woke up 2 hours later, and unplugged it before going back to sleep(it was charged to about 60%). Then in the morning it was completely drained again. My question, could this be a software problem, or could my battery have somehow suddenly become unstable? It's a 6s plus that I got in October 2019.

You can also check to see what used all of your battery in settings. You can even narrow it down to hour increments. If it's a specific app, it should be pretty obvious.

I just checked the battery health again, it's max. capacity is 91%, and is currently supporting normal peak performance.

Its weird that this happened without the update. I just got update 14.6 the other day and my phone literally went to shit (I have a 7+).
It instantly stopped picking up wifi when I downloaded the new update. Battery life has already drained 22% since I woke up and I havent been watching videos or anything. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It just overheated playing solitaire, and my pacemaker app open in the background. I'm going by a guide on thecellguide.com, and the next step is resetting all settings. I think I'll try that when the phone cools down. I really hope I don't have to get a new phone. I don't have a lot of money atm.

They destroyed my brothers phone and one of his coworkers phones at the exact same time with an update. They had to get a new phone because Apple decided that they had customers who needed to be spending more. If I didnt hate androids, I would have already switched because of these tricks. ...
