I live in an urban area and the fuckers never shut up or stop running around

And my parents live across from a park in suburbia and the place is packed with neighborhood kids every time I visit.

Because they watch a kid in one Youtube video and automatically deduce that its all they do and they had such better lives for some reason. Generational superiority is as dumb as nationalism. Sure we grew up after 9/11 and had the entire world changed for us...but at least we played basketball outside sometimes!

It seems different than I was a kid. My friend's daughter is 15 and as best I can tell she's not ever been unsupervised for more than 2 hours her whole damn life, and really that's only because the pandemic means she's not physically in school at the moment.

When I was growing up, there were kids playing outside all over the neighborhood. Over the years, I hardly see anyone outside playing. Its definitely not the same as it used to be.

The kids grew up. No more kids in the neighborhood.
