Isaac Asimov's Robots series short stories are really fucking good. I recommend the Robot Visions collection. It's got every story in I, Robot plus extra

There's an anime based on Count of Monte Cristo. Hilariously enough, they made most of the characters gay/bisexual with the exception of Eugenie who they made straight.
