I'm not in Seattle, but closer to the Pacific coast and the high is moving in from the ocean, so even coastal areas which are typically immune to this will get 100s for at least a day.

Found the study on this: they only measure 25 of the largest metro areas, and the largest in Alaska is the 135th largest in the country, so it doesn't get consideration

I feel SO bad for those people without AC.

I grew up in Louisiana where AC was basically a necessity and when I moved to the northern southwest, I was shocked to find out that most people dont have AC. Well, weve eroded our ozone to the point where hot places are freezing (Texas) and cold places are burning up.

There isnt much worse than being uncomfortably hot in your home.

The AC at my house last year went out during a record breaking day (July 6th iirc) and it fucking sucked. Stuck in the Las Vegas heat for almost a week without AC. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
