My town basically goes to bed at 9pm, which is really sad for a college town. We used to have a great night life with bars, random outdoor concerts, etc., but now theres literally nothing to do when the sun goes down. The only 24/7 place I can think of is one McDondalds. Not even Walmart stays open late anymore.

Basically, most of the cool, fun people left and its we just have a bunch of retirees and college kids who are too broke to pay for a bar tab. Rent is unbelievably high for business owners so prices kept rising to the point where the bars ran their customers off for good.

Anyway, hows the night life in your city?

Good. I used to go clubbing every week when I was 21 or so. Huge music scene, DIY venues, after hours clubs where you can smoke inside

San Jose. Downtown gets pretty crazy on the weekends. The East Side, which is pretty ghetto, does a lot of street racing at night as well.

Yeah, we got fireflies (lightning bugs for the uncouth) and a skunk maybe, smells like there may be a skunk

Its average. We have 7 clubs/bars/etc within a 5 minute walk, but its definitely a small town club vibe. University students help though.

Cant wait for restrictions to lift so I can get back on my downtown bullshit.

Eh, not so much. There are bars on two main streets and a movie theater but its a small town. Its right next to Oakland and Sam Francisco though so theres nightlife. And youve got Berkeley which is a college town.

I used to have a lot of fun in Denver, but I hear its not what it used to be anymore. Everyone wants $20 for a drink and $200 for a ticket. Pass. Plus, all my people there are gone now and I cant drink anymore.

Deep south? That sounds like when I was in Baton Rouge. One good thing about my town is that they cops practically dont patrol. They basically are a reactionary force that responds when someone requests help, so you dont get pulled over really (Ive had expired tags on my plate for years).

Fuck that! I remember ten years ago, I could go out with $20 and get so wasted that I didnt even know where I was. There also used to be live bands everywhere playing for free (for publicity), but now youve got to pay cover fees to get in if some local band of college kids is playing. No wonder the bar scene is dying.

I live in SF, pre-covid the Nightlife was very healthy. Lots of bars and music venues in SF, Oakland, and Berkeley. I live in a fairly lively neighborhood near a number of very good bars and a couple of music venues. Also some karaoke joints, which I rocked yesterday . Just waiting for concerts to start back up again

Not really a club guy so I can't speak to that scene.

Yeah I leave work every day at 11 and I drive through packed bar parking lots, packed nightclub parking lots, lots of people standing outside of venues in groups just smoking and talking, people innocently just walking along the river on a weeknight. On the rare times I do go out it seems just as busy when I decide to leave around 3-4 AM.
