Don't take this topic too seriously, I'm just bored, depressed, and goofing off, while trying to recover things for my dried trout that I call my memory.

And if I get something wrong, try not to be a jerk about it.

Zelda 2 was my very first time experiencing a video game. Had no idea what an rpg was, and I think that it's pretty sweet that I started the hobby that I partake in more than anything else with is one.

Narnia: The Last Battle was my very first time reading a fantasy novel I willingly chose to read. I thought it was awesome, and I wanna say that it was what got me to read more fantasy. Sadly it didn't, and I didn't read an enjoyable fantasy novel till my early 20's.

Amazing Spider-Man #1 was the first thing I ever read at Borders. Loved it for the time. God I miss Borders.

Superman 2 was my very first time watching a comic book movie I can remember watching. I remember loving it. It's a reminder that Superheroes indeed often do kill, and you can make that lighthearted and fun.

Batman '89 was my very first time watching a comic book movie I saw in theatres. I loved it. I need to watch it again sometime.

Rydia from FF4was my very first video game crush. Ah memories of renting games and loading someone else's saves in the early 90's. God how I miss it.

Zeromus from FF4 was my very first time fighting a final boss in a video game. Again, memories of renting games and loading someone else's save.

FF4 was My Very First Time playing a video game and truly being more fun than frustrated, for the first few hours anyways, for reasons that will become clear in the next bit.

Earthbound was probably not My Very First Time playing an rpg where I knew about equipping items, but it was one of the first few rpgs where I heard about it, and it's nice knowing that a game finally explained it pretty well, and wouldn't let you continue on until you equipped the Cracked Bat. Man, what I'd give for better tutorials during the SNES era.

Seriously, RPGs were new to kids like us back then, and we had no idea what we were doing. My brother got pretty far in FF4 without knowing about equipping anything or knowing about leveling up I wanna say like past where Cecil does the class change(trying to make this post spoiler free), and I have no idea how the fuck that ever happened, seriously! We also didn't know about either of these when we played FF6 too.

You know, when I think about it, it kinda makes me wish that Earthbound was my first RPG.

Unless you're loaded, save your money, and wait for sales. This isn't the 90's anymore, and most games don't become hard to find. And don't pre-order.

my first game was Super Mario Bros & Duck Hunt on the NES in 1988. I actually played Duck Hunt first, as it looked way cooler than making some short guy jump around, and my NES came with the gun. Best part was when i realized i could put the gun up to the TV and effectively cheat that way.

FF4 was my first rpg in 1993, and i had a lot of similar experiences with that. It was the first time i didn't need to expend effort or skill in a game. I just sort of manage the characters, and they do the work. i liked it.

I don't really read books, and I never really enjoyed reading, but To Kill a Mockingbird was the first book i liked. Looking back, that was the point that i realized i like coming-of-age stories.

First video game system anyone in my family had was Home Pong.
First video game system that belonged specifically to me was an Atari 800

First movie I saw in any kind of theater was E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which we watched at a drive-in. (I have a very vague recollection of seeing some movie about Noah's Ark at a drive-in when I was even younger, but In Search of Noah's Ark came out when I was 3.)
First movie I saw in an indoor theater was Batman (1989).
First movie I saw in a theater without my family I think was Princess Mononoke

First RPG I played was Final Fantasy Legend II

First online game I played was FurryMUCK. I still have my original character there, created in 1996. I've logged in over 15,000 times.
