First Kazuya impressions: fun, basically better little Mac, high damage, terrible recovery, terrible jump and terrible mobility. The damage output and combos are insane, but the gameplan is the same as Mac which is to never engage and attempt to gimp/zone off stage. Definitely fun though

His air mobility is pretty bad. Ground mobility is surprisingly good though. His fox trot is really similar to Tekken dash.

Honestly those nerfs for Min-Min are kind of unnecessary. Her recovery is already absurdly easy to gimp and her weakest aspect. Making it even worse is just cruel.
And the up smash nerf is just... random. I didn't think her having an unreliable reflector was why people dislike fighting her.

Banjo buffs are welcome, even if they're small.

It was a pretty good reflector. It was a frame 7 option she could do on reaction OOS that sent the projectile back with a 1.8x damage multiplier and a 2x speed multiplier iirc. Just from a numbers perspective that thing was pretty nutty.

The recovery nerf on the other hand is weeeeeeird. Thats the last thing Id have changed about her.

they keep lasering me when i'm too short to get hit

don't know how i feel about him balance-wise. he deals a lot of damage but his range and mobility are awful and his recovery is easy to gimp even with the options he has. he's like mac but not shit

Yeah his jab has a 5x SDI multiplier so you shouldn't be hit with all 10 hits. For comparison electric attacks have a 2x multiplier.

Kazuya plays weird, I've heard Tekken players he is a faithful adaption to how he is in Tekken. Definitely a character you can't really tell how good he is on the get go.

yeah I actually see Tekken players online telling people his tech for smash. pretty crazy honestly haha. just means his adaptation to smash was super faithful with is cool.

yeah well it's online so i dont expect people to ever make smart decisions haha. i literally just hit buttons with kazuya on elite (and with any character really) and do well. it's why online is so bad

Yeah I've been hearing he plays almost like he does in Tekken. His air stats are pretty bad but he's probably the character with some of the best ground movement options in smash. I want to see how top level players do with this character once they start labbing him out.
