Yes, and it became my first car...I still have the hood ornament.
After that I picked up another one, and a Park Ave.

Great engines...not horrible cars, but all the bells and whistles breakdown.

The one that I did get from my Grandfather would probably have snapped your neck off in a re-end collision.

Not that I remember but my parents had one about 8 years ago. I drove it a few times, I loved it and it had some balls for an older car. It was a 1983, beautiful car with comfy seats.

Damn thing jumped time and it wasn't worth trying to fix it.

Last car my grandpa had before he died was a Lincoln Town car of some kind. Other grandpa was dead before I was born.

Nope, he had an F250 Camper Special that was brown and yellow. Had 2 gas tanks. I remember one tank went dry while we were driving (I was like 6 or 7) and the people behind us started honking like crazy when he wasn't moving. Cool as a cucumber hit the button for the other tank, turned the key to partially on so the fuel pump would kick on, then turned it on. As a child it impressed me, because I lived in the country where no one honks their horn and he just ignored the assholes upset about being slowed down for 10 seconds.

Buick Lesabres were pretty nice, middle class luxury cars. They were sure better than some of the shit that passes as a luxury car nowadays

american cars started sucking back at the late 2000s. 90s and early 2000s were cool though

American cars started sucking in the 70s and were full blown shit by the 80s.

many, especially Chrysler, but there were bright spots. The 90s mustang, fbodies and corvette were nice cars, buicks were soft and well equipped luxo barges for the older guys and caddies were actually nice.

All of my Buicks would have crippled me in the event of a rear-end collision.

nearly every caddy engine built is complete shit though. And for a good while the 305 was popular in the fbodies. And 80s corvettes... you might like the styling but they have terrible interiors and again, most engines sucked.

The Park Aves were actually built on Caddy Chases.
I am not sure if they shared the same engines though.

first 2 generations of park avenue came with the Buick 3800, the ultra versions getting the supercharged 3800. Supercharged 3800 is probably the best American V6 from the 90s and probably best engine available on American fwd cars

a couple of caddies used 350 or LT1, they are highly desirable. Most used a Cadillac specific engine, all of which suck to my knowledge.

I had The Ultra, but it wasn't supercharged. It was 'Dynaride' though, whatever that was supposed to mean. But ya, I never had a problem with any of my Buick Engines, it was always the other stuff..and safety concerns that turned me off.

~For the record...I'm currently hunting a Saab that will fit my needs.

I think so. They definitely had a few Buicks, but I dont remember the models.

One had an Oldsmobile, the other had a Ford pickup.
