I just started Knight.

I like Asylum slightly more than City. Knight is still good, but pretty clearly the weakest.

This was really only true after City.

City was a vast improvement over Asylum in basically every way.

Origins I actually had a ton of fun with, but the style just doesnt work for me

I enjoyed Asylum more than City. Still havent played Knight though.

Well that and Rocksteady didn't develop Origins so you're all good!

I'd say City > Asylum > Knight though I never played Knight, any time I've seen gameplay of it they're just having clunky combat in a car and it looks awful.

City has Mr Freeze so it wins by default, Asylum was really lacking in the boss fight department

This is me. Thats how I feel. But, I recognize that City is the better game. Had I played City first Im sure I would not enjoy Asylum nearly as much.

I love all those games so much. I had a question about Arkham Knight back when it was released. That was the whole reason I created a Gamefaqs account.

Im in the minority, but Knight is my favorite. I wasnt fazed by the battank.

Knight>City>Asylum. Asylum was good but City is better in every way, trying to go back and play Asylum and I'd rather just play City instead. I think Knight is the best in terms of combat plus you get to drive the iconic batmbobile for an optional way to get around gotham. Sure the bat tank battles were awful and boss fights were lame but it's the overall best of the three hands down. City just feels like a downgrade to Knight, better costume options though.

I played asylum and city almost back to back and enjoyed asylum way more back in the day

didnt play knight until last year and ended up liking it more than I remembered liking city

I just played through the entire series including Origins, Blackgate and VR over the past 2 months and platinumed all of them.

City > Origins > Knight > Asylum > VR > Blackgate

Asylum is great and has the best tone in the series, but the gameplay itself is hard to go back to. It's solid, but hasn't aged well by comparison. Mainly, it's the boss fights that kill it. City is my favorite and the best overall. The story's pacing is poor, but the story itself is pretty dang good. Origins has the best story and boss fights in the series. The controls are always a bit off which hurts, but the overall gameplay is still better than Asylum. Blackgate sucks. Knight is great with some short comings. The tank isn't awful to play, but there's too much of it and it's never as much fun as just being Batman. The story is pretty good, but has some flaws including a painfully telegraphed twist and a weak ending. Knight's highest moments are really high, but it can be a bit of a roller coaster. And VR's just a fun little time. Not much meat on the bone, but it's a good hour or two with some cool connections to City and Knight.

They're all good though. Knight overuses the Batmobile but it's at least fun to control.

Origins was made by a different team and it shows, the combat timing feels janky and off.
