I don't think most people had a problem with Daisy herself, just that Ray was an awful character and the story was a pile of dogshit, so as the lead she will get all the hate directed towards her. Outside of the Disney movies I don't think anyone really cares what she does.

Daisy is fine. Rey was lame which probably soured some people on her, and her non-Star Wars work has been bad so its hard to care much about her career.

It's kind of up in the air how much Rey will end up mattering to the Star Wars brand as a whole right now, Disney seems to be drinking in that OT sludge.

She's still acting. Her latest movie is Peter Rabbit 2. I am not sure how big a role she has but in the first movie, she was a neighbor that lived next door to a human that is battling Peter Rabbit and gets involved with both rabbit and man. I know she is still in the sequel cause she appears in the trailer
