I literally own both games and when I bought them the guy at ebgames tried so fucking hard to get me to buy loose used copies and I said no way I want the box.

It's dead because the series was trash. Being one of the early and few RPGs for the gameboy advance with amazing graphics(during combat) at the time was the only thing it had going.

I forced myself to finish the first, but couldnt the second. And that was using the 2x speed on emulators even.

it was my first ever jrpg besides pokemon if that counts. so i think when you played it matters. when it came out it was mindblowing to me and others who hadn't had the chance to play jrpgs much before.

yeah i mean i played a shit ton of RPGs and I still consider the Golden Sun systems to be reasonably deep enough to sustain a 20 hour game. esp if you like the characters/music/story/exploration/puzzles lol.

people these days must be much bigger gamers than i ever was if Golden Sun is trash lmao, or the medium is so advanced now that Golden Sun is like how I think of the earliest FF games. they're good for the time but not really holding up to the test of time? idk
