Im at chapter 7 on the Genshin rematch. I have no ninpo orbs to start so thats making it alot harder lol

i played this when it first came out, i was pretty young and never beat it. I dont remember doing this part, but im pretty sure i was passed this area.

I die in less than a minute lol. Everything before this point has been attack enemy to win but now im having flashbacks of fighting Isshin with the way im getting my ass kicked

Yeah fighting masters in this series has always been a pain in the assMurai in 1, Genshin in 2, and the Regent in 3. Theres no cheap method to beat these guys.

that game is impossible

i beat the dk64 armadillo but it exploded when it died and the explosion killed me :/

I rage quit Ninja Gaiden 2 in disgust.

I played the game on easy mode but bloody hell I have played games whose hard mode was easier than this.

Now bare with me here as it has been years since I played the game but I think the bit I rage quitg at was where I was dropped from a plane into some boss battle and I had no way to replenish my health.

Terrible game that I never want to see again.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was the only one of the NES trilogy that I beat.

NG2 has one of the great combat systems in gaming, just the rest of the game's design is off-balance. Throw that combat system into a roguelite and it'll be game of forever.

I beat 1 and 2, lost interest in 3.

I remember a fight with two thunder worm things being a fucking nightmare in 1.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is difficult but not nearly as hard as the first and third one. The third one would be the easiest if it wasn't for how long the last level is and you don't get enough time to complete it.

If you're good enough, you could just roll at the right time when it erupts and not take any damage. Barring that, take advantage of the brief period of invincibility while casting a ninpo to survive the explosion

I didnt realize i could hold block lmao i found out you could sprint away during the explosion cutscene, so i held back on the stick after stabbing his head

super easy boss, the scythe stunlocks him.

after the armadillo nuke the game turned into sonic 06 moscow edition which honestly was alot more fun than i remember.

i was swarmed by rockets and transformers, the devil introduced himself, i beat a giant and a bunch of mechs all at the same time, then killed the devil himself. They gave me plenty of ninpo orbs this time so i used that on the rocket guys and the boss was nothing compared to Genshin in the last stage.

im now further than ive ever been :)

the second hayabusa village fight is super fun, and the stairs fight in the stage after that was legendary, you will be wondering about the frame rate but make no mistake that was intentional.

ive only heard tales of the stair fight, im gonna be happy to experience it. Im playing on Xbox 1X and ive heard the frame rate doesnt drop as bad

i suppose this swampy cave dungeon is the other village? It is pretty damn cool.

There was some stray smg weilding ninjas and some nasty bugs, but other than that silence until i opened the gates. A lake separating the docks and myself. I notice barren log cabins and a really cool boat with.. a machine gun turret on the front? Maybe thatll come into play.
I quickly and silently take out the spotlights with my bow, and by silently i mean they explode.. idk how that works but whatever. There seems to be no other threat, so i take a dive.
As soon as i hit the water im bombarded by rockets, 3 or 4 AA artillery weilding ninjas appeared out of nowhere, the spotlights have resurrected (for some reason) and follow my every move, and accompanying the chaos is some intense metal music. I rush to the other side and struggle making it up the stairs out of the water because controls in water are so janky, slice open one of the rocket men and find a chest with some healing grains. Another guy spawns to continue the bombardment. I jump to the boat which doesnt come into play at all and to the other end of the docks, find more grains, a key to a door, and a full stock of ninpo orbs, while also killing the rocket guys.
A cutscene plays showing gates in the water opening, that must be the door, but coming out the gate is a fucking i dont even know what to call it. An Autobot with rockets (of course) circling the lake fast as fuck and spamming its rockets at me. Thankfully im in cover while this happens, i manage to hit it with two fully charged arrows and make my way to the gate that just opened.. to be met with another rocket launching autobot.. i use ninpo this time to save the trouble

tl:dr: i got passed the docks. now im fighting a giant centipede inside a cave dungeon... and i cant beat it. I got it down to 1/4 health before dying i just dont have a proper strategy yet

its a little out of place somehow, im trying to understand myself, but it does work in this type of mission based action game. i feel like the future of this system peaked in the newer TMNT games, i could also say batman games but that was more of a dumbed down version, i kicked ass at that too tho.

im glad there arent too many hp sponges, even bosses you can defeat in under a minute, but they kill you quick as well, something i wish Sekiro did with its mini bosses

Honestly Ninja gaiden 1 or black feels more responsive than ng2. Its weird to me how ng2 feels more janky. The camera is easier to control, and ads is better, but the angles are weird sometimes

The swamp stage is super boring. I think the green worm is only a sub boss, you can stun it easily by using a charged scythe attack, follow by 3 hit heavy scythe combo

The stairs fight is chapter 10
Hayabusa village second visit is chapter 11

Moves that allows you to perform finishers on regular enemies
scythe, XXY, 360Y
claws, forward Y, maybe 360Y
dragon sword, YY or XXY
nunchucks, forward Y
tonfa, pretty much every move
kusari gama, XXYY, 360 YYY, forward Y, jump YYY
staff XXY, 360Y charged or uncharged

Use X+A to auto homing jump with invincibility
Use mario jumps to stun normal enemies and get some invincibility
Basically, to get out of being surrounded, use auto homing jump, follow by mario jump, the entire process is almost invincible.

Level 2 Claws auto homing jump YXY on human enemies is easy izuna drop.

Ive been switching between the large twin swords and the scythe, mostly twin swords. The fYY attack does insane aoe damage and great startup speed, also the best water combat attacks as far as i can tell

killed the dragons, beat the stairs first try, killed 2 armadillos, genshin, i saw some titties, killed satan again, now im about to fight the weird blue archangel rapist again and save big tittied friend

the most annoying out of all those bosses was the 2 dragons, took me a while to beat, and the most fun one was the succubus fight.

i gotta say, this game has it all. It really tests your limits. Every stage has situations that make you think theres no way i can beat this but then you do, and its very satisfying. I def think its harder than Dark Souls, but not harder than Sekiro or NG black

Yeah but you just hold block and it the blast doesnt hurt you, its really not a big deal

Some of the ninpos drop a tone of health bars on those boring non-humanoid bosses, but I can't remember which ones.

You have to aim the ninpos at specific spots.
You can use void ninpo firing into the chest core of the dragons and drunk skeleton. I think void ninpo headshot into armadello also works, but I can't remember exactly.
