No way to know. It would have that's the point. The Left-Wing or the Hippie movement scared the crap out of the GOP. Kennedy wished to deescalate Vietnam, as kids were being conscripted into service for a war they didn't even understand. It, and a lot of other things were reasonable grievances. He would probably have backed his brother in 68 over LBJ, but RFK would probably find it harder to question US strategy/involvement in Vietnam if JFK was its architect.
