If I see an "easy mode" when I boot it up, I will spend all my time emailing From Soft instead of playing. Cause that's how you win life.

Seriously tho. The only way an easy mode is bad is when they decide to make it "Normal" and then lock the harder mode behind beating the game. But that pretty much never happens anymore. So that's a non issue.

It's a From Software dark souls-esque game, I don't think they've ever had easy mode.

Normally I wouldnt have cared but seeing all the entitled babies in here demand one I hope they dont get one.

Also like I doubt it has a good enough story to warrant an easy mode considering the biggest appeal to From Software dark souls-esque games are just the difficulty.

I hope they add one specifically to piss gamerkind off. I beat Dark Souls 1 fine and would never use an easy mode for a Soulslike but if the devs want to add it, that's fine, and people who think otherwise can go cry about having to pad their egos by saying "hhhuhhh but i beat it on harddd im a better gamer"

This is part of the downside imo. It's gonna cause an uptick in people blowing through the game and going"well, that was nothing special". Where right now, they have a hurdle that stops those people from flooding conversations. People missing the point, because the difficulty is what adds so much to the world. Taking out the special feeling of earning a new area to explore or finally taking down the boss who was blocking you from seeing it. It makes everything feel a lot more worth exploring. You feel you gonna seek out everything for that extra benefit. You can't blow pass everything and not take anything in.

But don't get me wrong, I have no issues with them adding an easy mode. It doesn't matter to me, but if it allows others to enjoy it, that's great.

Yeah, Im not against it either. I'm just hypothesizing the outcome of that. Im already a From Soft fan, so I don't gotta worry about people discouraging me away from the series.

This remind me of people bitching about the tranquilizer pistol in MGS games and how it makes everything too easy.

Then others would tell them to just not use it if they don't like it so much and the people bitching would have meltdowns and basically say they don't like the fact that other people could use it too lmao

It's not even difficult. It's the lack of hand holding we're so used to by now. If there were a sign before the 1st dark knight in ds1 that says "don't be a jack ass! Do not mash buttons!" I probably wouldn't die a dozen times

MGS is an experienced that revolves around cinematics tho. It's not as heavily reliant on the feeling of it's gameplay. These games are on completely different ends of gaming. There's way more obvious reasons to not play MGS for challenge.
