As we're coming up to 20 years of Xbox it's funny thinking back to all of the games they clearly expected to be franchises that just died after one or two games. Here's the list.

• Azurik
• Blood Wake
• Blinx the Time Sweeper
• Crimson Skies
• Brute Force
• Jade Empire (Now owned by EA)
• Kung-Fu Chaos
• Blue Dragon
• Lost Odyssey
• Alan Wake
• Kameo
• Viva Pinata
• D4
• Ryse
• Quantum Break
• Sunset Overdrive (now owned by Sony)

Quite a big list. Sure you can argue that a couple of these were only supposed to be one and done but I think they intended to have more games for the majority of them.

Technically Mass Effect would count too. They published the first game but lost the rights when EA bought Bioware. This is why it took years for the first game to get published on PS3.

Blinx and Viva Piata are the only ones I recognize.

Blinx was bad ass on the OG Xbox.

Viva Pinata was a game I played on PS3 so i didnt even know it was an Xbox launch Game was boring as hell from what I remember.

Viva Pinata was on DS but I don't think it ever went to PS3?

After Jade Empire Bioware planned to go traditional RPG with Dragon Age and action RPG with Mass Effect. EA then bought them and the rest is history. Don't see EA giving one shit about Jade Empire ever. They barely seem to believe in Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

Jade empire was amazing to me. Unlike fable I actually felt bad for some the evil choices I made. Where as in fable it was usually just funny to me.

Mentally enslaving your party members is the most evil thing I can think of in any Bioware game.

Viva Pinata was an amazing game that spawned a great sequel and a decent DS spin-off. Microsoft killed it off because they legitimately expected it to be the next Pokemon.

Yeah wasn't even thinking about that part. I was thinking about effectively dooming an entire town due to your actions. Selling a girl into slavery or slightly less bad refusing to save her but giving her a weapon to save herself and she ends up with a taste for blood which puts her at odds with her mother.

Oh man Crimson Skies and Kung Fu Chaos were so fun. The movie/filmmaking references in Kung Fu Chaos were really well done.
