A few years ago I had to fly down and attend a funeral with them, that night we were hanging out and a few of my cousins and I (the cousins aren't kosher, they came flew in from another state) made a charcuterie platter to snack on. Well a few of my more observant relatives came over and started munching on it with us. My aunt (rabbi's wife) is like "oh this is so good, what is it?" I'm guessing they had to do a round of teshuvah, basically just repenting and telling god you won't do it again, since it was just an accident.
