I'm for it if they kick the McMahons to the curb.

Or just Vince.

Sources say NBC is waiting patiently to offer big money to buy WWE as a whole and feature RAW, SmacKDown, NXT and all pay-per-views and WWE Network programming exclusively on PEACOCK.

Fuck that. I'll just go watch the crappy local wresting on a former UHF channel.

The only decent WWE product is SmackDown and even then, the constant shaky-cam and zooming make it unbearable to watch.

If NBC buys them they need to get rid of the Trumper elements of wrestling. Apparently lots of WWE stars support Trump. But NBC can't tolerate that

Lol, Vince would die before he sold WWE. Its still insanely profitable, just look it up. Thats not to say WWE wont be sold in the future, I simply cant see him selling it while still alive. Crazy to think his mom is still alive, last I heard anyways.

Nick Khan has been growing a crazy amount of influence, very fast. At this point he has more corporate influence than HHH, which I'm sure is due in part to NXT's rebranding not panning out as well as WWE expected.

Cleaning house in preparation for a buyout, possibly.

None of this shit makes sense for both WWE and NBC and this will just damage everything, maybe killing WWE altogether since they're gonna be heavily on watch under the NBC umbrella.

They already kind of do. WWE has to take what USA wants into consideration when making storylines and scheduling.

Rusev isn't comparable to Braun. Rusev was disgruntled and wanted to be released, Braun is a former WWE champion and was in the main event scene as recently as last month.

That still has little to do with Vince McMahon selling the company. Making big deals? Sure, that makes sense. But what does a 76 year old Vince gain from selling the company? Once he dies I have no doubt the WWE sells, I just dont see Vince selling it.

WWE is still the big leagues, and as an outsider looking in, AEW is making the same mistakes WCW made 25 years ago. Plenty of their own talent, yet they have a shit ton of WWE/F guys walking around. Crazy to think they have people old enough to have been featured on WWF/WCW. You hate to see it but AEW isnt gonna beat WWE with someone wi the deep pockets and a bunch of ex WWE/F guys.

Only reason I bring up Rusev is he was a home grown guy who was super over and was a legit threat to anyone. He absolutely should have been a main eventer.

my last experience with Brawn was tag champ with a kid from the audience. I did know he was a main event guy though. Its the only reason Im following wwe right now

This gets progressively stupider every time people post it. Do you know how many people have been employed by WWE in the past decade? Some of the indie guys they pick up, believe it or not, will be ex-WWE guys.

Obviously but does he value that over his business? Hes already a billionaire already. Selling WWE doesnt mean he can now buy whatever he wants, he can already do that. He brought back the XFL for no reason other that why not. Again, I have no doubt his much younger, less wealthy children will sell as soon as they get the chance. Vince? Nah man, hes just too invested.

How so? Paying too much for Brock Lesnar is one thing. Cena is gone, Undertaker is done, they brought back Edge, big deal, hes out soon too. So tell me how they are making the same mistake WCW did. Im just trying to understand what youre saying. I dont watch but Im still informed to a degree.

The McMahon family has had a legacy in professional wrestling unlike any other and with AEW becoming increasingly popular the time of WWE being the premier wrestling company is no more.

I like AEW but BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Maybe Vince pulls a George Lucas and says "**** off, you assholes never appreciated me while I was here, so I'm selling off to the first decent deal I come across and washing my hands of the whole thing!"

Also he wanted to be a big deal business guy, and completely taking over an entire industry and selling it for like 6-7 billion or something crazy would establish him as like a top-tier business-guy.

Yeah because like ForsakenHermit said, they have to adhere to USA programming rules and NBC owns the USA Network. Imagine what happens when farrrr more money is invested into WWE. It's gonna be an awful shitshow and the network doesn't give a fuck about the McMahon legacy. If it doesn't pan out, they'll dump it.

So youre gonna deny AEW hasnt rolled out the red carpet for a bunch of ex WWE guys? Hasnt gone out of their way to hire a bunch of old WWF/WCW guys? I mean, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles wrestled for WWE before TNA. Of course Indy guys wrestled for WWE at some point, dark matches are a thing after all.

AEW doesnt need Henry, Show, Jericho.

AEW's handling of ex-WWE talent has been decent. The Casino Battle Royale at this year's Double or Nothing was a good example. Christian Cage made all the younger talent look good while still being booked as formidable, and lost to Jungle Boy. Ex-WWE guys like Big Show and Mark Henry are being used in behind-the-scenes roles, and training younger talent.

If they booked their ex-WWE guys the same way they initially booked Jericho, then there'd be a huge problem.

Are you really going to tell me Moxley is a CZW guy and not a WWE guy?

and if Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, or Kevin Owens showed up in AEW, everyone would be complaining about bringing in more WWE guys, not more ROH guys. And basically no Japanese people are going to back up and move to the US for AEW, especially if they are there to work in a backstage capacity.

There are a ton of places outside of WWE, but not many at the level AEW performs at. AEW does have some big non-WWE guys like Jerry Lynn and Luther (all the referees), but they pretty much picked the independent scene clean and were still in need of a ton more guys, which left the only people with the appropriate experience ex-WWE guys.
