I still don't understand how Tim Pool retained a following after insisting for months that Trump would win in a 49-50 state landslide. Nobody who understands election trends or data would take such a claim seriously, and it blew up in his face. But people still take him seriously, lol.

In the case of anti-SJWs, it's two-fold: there's the contingent that hates the censored anti-sex stance of modern media and then there are the bigots who hate to see women and minorities in prominent roles. There's a gray area / middle ground too of people who get mad whenever a character experiences a change in ethnicity. Some of those people are bigots. Others are just adherents to the source material who would've just as likely flipped a table had a mustached character appeared clean shaven in the adaptation.

I've no love for bigots and I make no apologies for them. They can stay mad. The other contingent, I get it. From 2005 to 2013, I complained about how bleak and edgy media was. "There's a reboot coming and, guess what, it's gritty!" has been replaced with "There's a reboot coming and, guess what, it's woke!"

Between the two, I'll take woke culture. I still don't like how taboo (female) sexiness has become but anything is better than CRAWLING IN MY SKIN media.

Being a grifter seems like a great way to fleece money off idiots. America is the land of opportunists, and if I ever go there again I'm changing my profession to cater to this crowd that loves throwing their money away.

It isn't an anti sex thing. It is an anti woman as sex objects thing specifically. Not every guy character is hot either but no one bitches because they already see men entirely as people.
