I don't recall which.

The speaker was a kid and found a black widow, made friends with it and would feed it bugs.

They told their mother about it and its pretty hourglass design, she immediately killed it.

Talked about how in hindsight they understood but in the moment only saw her mother murdering their only friend.

Story was told in regards to explaining how we don't always know what's best for us.
