The indie games based on castlevania aren't cutting it for me, I would love to play a new one by the people who made ones like Dawn of Sorrow

All three Lords of Shadow games are phenomenal tbh, and Mirror of Fate is my favorite of the three.

Bloodstained is good, but it's missing a couple vital components.

A whip wielding Belmont, and Dracula who is bro's with Death.

It just isn't the same when you're fighting.....demons from the Moon.

But it is still an excellent series.

I loved the first Lords of Shadow and Mirror of Fate was fun....Lords of Shadow 2 wasn't bad, but it felt more like Legacy of Cain than CV to me and it def wasn't on par with 1.

But, those games are their own thing. They don't scratch that side scrolling itch.

I don't think there's any demons from the moon in Bloodstained, just one that's associated with the moon. Bloodstained is very similar to Castlevania overall, and unfortunately it's the closest we'll probably get for a long time. Obviously, it's not the same. The Belmonts, Dracula, Death, and all the enemies in the series can't truly be replaced.

Nah, you're right. You shouldn't snub that series and it's awesome + great boss fights.

I'm just saying, it's hard to come to terms with NOT fighting Dracula or any of the classic movie monsters, like his good friend the Wolfman, or his partner in crime the Mummy.

Did you play Bloodstained 2? You literally fly to the moon in a space ship on the last level.

Ah cool. I have not played Curse of the Moon 2 yet, but I'll get to it eventually.

It's good, but the first one was the perfect mix of hard and fun where as the second is just unfairly hard.

The additional characters in 2 are really cool though.

Thanks for the recommendation, I've added Bloodstained to my list and will get it next time it's on a good sale.

nah dude honestly get good, its no worse than the first
I mean, sure, you can claim I suck at it and that your e-peen is bigger than mine. You're the bigger man because you're better at old school video games than me, I submit, my statement wasn't about that.

But no, the second one is designed to kill you over and over again. The first one can be played through on the first try with relative familiarity to those types of games. This is less a criticism and more about how the game is actually designed.

That's fine you enjoyed that, and it wasn't a bad game. It's just deliberately designed that way.

OK, I'm bad at Bloodstained.

Curse of the Moon 1 is still designed dramatically different than Curse of the Moon 2. It sounds like you didn't play both (or either) of them.

Also, I'm super impressed at how good you are at 2D platformers. How many women have you ****ed this week alone?

ehhhh not really, I played CotM 1 again right before CotM 2 came out and aside from the very radical gameplay change towards the end its pretty much more of the same which is why I liked it so damn much
You didn't answer my question. How many women have you ****ed this week alone? Answer the question.

I'm sure they're impressed you're such an Igavania badass you don't even notice deliberate difficulty scales that a game is notorious for.

CotM1 is relatively easy, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. You must suck at Bloodstained. IDK, sounds like you didn't play both of them.

See, I was trying to be helpful and recommend both to TC, but give him fair warning the second one amps up the difficulty so he's not put off. I'm not the only one that thinks this, as a simple Google search will show that CotM 2 built it's rep around being way more difficult.
